Dr. Monte Leidenix grew up in McLaughlin, South Dakota. He graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings with degrees in both Microbiology and Chemistry. He received his master's degree in microbiology / molecular biology from the University of North Dakota, and went on to receive his medical degree from the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine.
Dr. Leidenix conducted additional research as an Ophthalmic Pathology Research Fellow at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. In addition, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr Leidenix is board certified in Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Leidenix provides his cataract surgical patients with the most modern cataract techniques, including no-stitch clear corneal incisions and foldable intraocular implants. Combining cutting-edge technology, a pioneering spirit, and years of experience, Monte Leidenix, M.D., is helping keep The Eye Clinic of North Dakota at the forefront of eye care.

Dr. Tom Hansted was born and raised in Jamestown. He attended the University of North Dakota before receiving his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Dr. Hansted provides a full range of vision and eye care services. Whether you have an eye infection, eye disease, need special low vision devices, or need glasses or contact lenses, Dr. Hansted can provide high-quality vision and eye health examinations utilizing the latest technologies.
In his free time, Tom Hansted, O.D., enjoys hunting and fishing in North Dakota.
Dr. Steven Towle is a native of Minot. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Minot State University before receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Dr. Towle has been providing full-scope optometric care at The Eye Clinic of North Dakota since 1991. He provides both pre- and post-operative surgical care, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases, and refractive care. Dr. Towle is a past president of the Lions Foundation of North Dakota as well as a past president of the Lions Eye Bank of North Dakota.
